Y-CONNECT

Y-CONNECT, a program offered in partnership with the Griffin Centre, offers a range of support and services for transitional aged youth (ages 15-24) with mental health and/or substance abuse issues. Youth must live within the area of Dufferin Street to Humber River and Steeles Ave. to the 401.

Y-CONNECT offers a range of mental health and substance abuse services and programs for transitional-aged youth (ages 15-24) in the Jane-Finch and surrounding communities.

Goals

1. Provide a continuum of community based mental health and addiction services that are racially and culturally sensitive, that are accessible, appropriate, flexible and responsive to the needs of the youth and their families.

2. Provide a holistic model of care within an anti-racism/anti-oppression framework;

3. Establish strong working relations with existing community based agencies and groups.
